Happy 4th, y’all! I hope your day includes the following: cold drinks, encased meats/non-meats, fireworks, and a shed tear over Ray Charles’s ‘America the Beautiful.’ How awesome is it that even after 238 years of independence, we still feel the need to rub it in England’s face? And although I have many mixed feels on the current events of my country, the one thing I will never question is a long weekend. Celebrate responsibly and exercise all caution in dealing with fireworks. Raise a glass and turn up the John Phillip Sousa!
